The opener isn't cut off at all; it just looks that way because the opener fades in from the teasers. The opener is out of sync from the music due to sloppy editing on their part. (This was common with the 2003-2005 EE pre-recorded teasers as well.)
A similar occurance happened with the opener on both EE and EEWC during the BWTL era as well, from aroudn the time its graphics debuted until when master changed formats in mid 2007. During that time period, the "swish" sound effect didn't sync with the graphic transitions.

So, I was just thinking earlier about how the big meltdown happened on MLK Day last year, and what do you know?

As the great Richie J would say...

"hmmmmmmmmmmmm, what could that mean?"

I am so confused. What do you mean by "what do you know"? I understand the meltdown happened on MLK last year, but everything looks fine this year. Could it happen again tonight? :dunno:

On the live EEWC, at :24 after, we got black and an LDL. Nothing at all until the corner forecast zoom is played, then we cut to some feed with radar/satellite and music. I have a big hunch that this is the Trammell feed. And I do mean BIG.

They did cut to commercial a little early, though, so I have very little of the occurrence (but I did record it, so I have video). I will post something to here when available, as I have no YouTube channel.

That'd be the music of Trammell Starks.

My hunch was Trammell, but I was unsure if it really was. I confirmed it using TWCC's Starks previews and came up with the name as "Someday". It's the beginning of the track, too, so it's a dead-on match.

You know, if I were living in Atlanta, I'd beg NBC to let me work OverDrive without pay; the production on this show is horrid. Just this segment, there was a 15 second black screen, followed by a small clip of EE music, follwed by a video. Then when Sharon introduced Jim's package, she sat there like a lame duck for over 10 seconds waiting for Master to figure out how to get the video working. Ugh.

Ack, the horrible accidental muting of the mic for a few seconds following the opener has returned! *has horrific flashbacks of years gone by*

They also began the show feeding Sharon her own audio through her earpiece; she had to interrupt the broadcast to tell Master to fix the audio and send her mix-minus.

I can't wait to see how they manage to butcher the final half hour of the show. :pinch:

Stop muting Sharon every time you change the video source, dammit! :censored:
