IDK, I'm not thinking Storm Alert this time around.

IIRC, they didn't go to Storm alert for Dolly, so I doubt they will for Fay since it is not expected to be any stronger than what Dolly was.

Right. There was no Storm Alert during Dolly, so I don't expect them to go into Alert mode for a weaker storm. But on the other hand, TWC is known to do some pretty odd stuff. :D

Yet on a tropical storm, TWC goes:

OMG EVERYONE BOARD UP YOUR HOUSE AND EVACUATE IMMEDIATELY THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE OF THE WORST STORMS THAT WILL EVER HIT THE UNITED STATES IN TROPICAL HISTORY. WE WILL BE IN STORM ALERT AS THE WAVES RISE ANOTHER 3 INCHES AND THE WINDS INCREASE BY .25 MILES AN HOUR. THIS IS JUST AWFUL, JUST GOD AWFUL. WE WILL BE GIVING YOU SECOND BY SECOND COVERAGE.

OH MY GOD A DARKER CLOUD JUST ROLLED IN EVERYONE GET OUT IMMEDIATELY. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO GUST UP TO 40 MILES AN HOUR IN THIS TROPICAL STORM. SO BE SURE TO GET YOUR EMERGENCY KIT OUT AND COVER UP THE HOUSE COMPLETELY. ALSO, BE REMINDED SOME AREAS COULD ONLY GET A QUARTER INCH OF PRECIPITATION WHICH WILL MAKE BASEBALL FIELDS WET. NO ONE, AND I MEAN NO ONE SHOULD BE OUTSIDE.

AND WHEN THE TEMPERATURES DURING A HURRICANE RISE .5 DEGREES IT'S BECAUSE OF STUDIES OF GLOBAL WARMING. HERE'S SOME TIPS TO HELP PREVENT THAT.

There you have it, a day at The Hurricane....er, the Weather Channel.

Forget the EF5 tornadoes and basketball hail going on.

Apparently they're using the rotation schedule again like they did before. Betty and Sam are coming up at the top of the hour.

I just checked my IntelliStar and it's working fine (at least the LDL). Is anyone else's up at this hour?

SD Sat viewers...during this quazi-long form, are you seeing the SD Sat or the HD Sat?  After every Local, it keeps cuing the HD feed on the SD channel...then abruptly changes to the SD version.

I was hoping they would be using the interview corner for Storm Session, but I guess not.  :hmm:
