I really liked the overall "calm and casual" direction TWC was headed towards after the 2005 relaunch, like those BWTL promos with the vocal music, and the set on Weekend View. Apparently that was a bad idea for the average viewer, though.

If you mean by PM, you're not allowed to. You can try calling the STAR dept. though. You might find the number somewhere on weather.com

Actually, that apparently changed: https://twctodayforums.com/forums/index.php/topic,508.msg53247.html#msg53247

But then again, even that date could be wrong, and we may actually see Day Planner in HD on Monday (or perhaps they may decide to keep it HD for the rest of the week). We'll have to wait and see.

Surprise! Carl Parker is filling in for Paul tonight on EE. He's got his voice back, and apparently he's been trained for HD. He appeared in the HD studio before, but that was only a desk appearance for a few minutes.
