The LDL on Dish Network is just rotating city names, no WX. :P

I'm confused here... I thought we were talking about the lower third graphic that was being used to display information about Dolly?
I moved on... :P

Whats happening is that when the LDL, all of the cities on for the "Wednesday Night" forecast, are blank, they just have the city names:

Sorry about the odd shape of the pic. Had to cap it live.

It happens every night during all four hours of EEWC. I reported this issue to the STAR Team over 30 days ago, but they don't seem too bothered to fix it anytime soon. :/

I also noticed Jim wasn't looking at the camea for the whole opener at 11:00PM, he was looking at something off to the right for the whole thing.

I wonder what TWC is going to do at 2 AM CT. Surely they wouldn't go into long-form?!?

My guess is either:

1) First Outlook will step in an hour early at 3AM ET, in the same format as the 4AM hour.

2) A reprise of the 12AM/2AM ET hour of EEWC will air, or

3) Rich and Sharon will give a live update at 3AM ET.

I'm aiming towards the third choice, though I wouldn't be suprised if long-form airs at 3AM.

I believe though, recently, the 3 AM CT hour of First Outlook is full controlled like the 4 and 5 AM CT hours are.

Long form programming at 2 AM CT. Not surprising, though.

This is boring... :P

Seriously though, do you folks think pre-empting would be merited here, or is this system not really worth it?

So... do you think they'll go into Storm Alert? After all the hype they gave this storm the past two days, they're really underplaying it now on First Outlook, and we're only a few hours from a landfall.

Is it me, or is the YWT too darn cheerful for the situation? An anticipated cat 2 is still nothing to take lightly.

Same on DirecTV. It happens everynight when they display the next-day conditions

Landfall could only a few hours away. This storm is a category 2, and they're still not in Storm Alert. Could we see it at noon eastern?

...I guess I won't be able to find out, I'll be at work. :P

I thought you said you had work at 8? :P

I've put a ticket in with Echostar (Satellite company) to see if I can get in to Jim / Mike's live feed. Did anyone catch a view of which truck Jim had? I know they showed it at about 9 last night, but I wasn't recording then. If I know which truck it is, I know which satellite they are on, and can get the raw feed of Cantore!

Just to add to what I said, I think I found it. He's on AMC 5, possibly. I will head out and lock a dish to it and report back. If I DO obtain the feed, I will stream it online.
