I've been a television producer for 7 years now, and in those 7 years, I've problaly made a mistake on every show I've ever done. It may not be noticable to the home viewer, but everyone in this industry makes mistakes, we're only human.

Christ, can TWC ever go one segment without any mentioning of hurricanes?

That's practically why I stopped watching TWC over the summer.

They've now moved into doing the "You're watching The Weather Channel, Your Hurricane Authority" bumper at the top of every hour.

CNN is :P They talk about it for maybe every 15 / 30 minutes for only about 5 minutes. IMO, it's a good balance.

For a second there, they switched over to the radar in the corner instead of the satellite, but then they switched back.

It happened again at 3:40 PM ET.

Edit: Looks like they're alternating between radar and satellite.

Now they've thrown the Projected Path into the loop for the corner inset as well.

...which proves that they are just hyperventalating over the forgettable tropical storm. It isn't expected to strike the entire Gulf coast, but just a small section of coastal Texas.

Yeah, but the area of South Texas is quite flood prone, and Dolly could bring major flooding to the area. This isn't just "a wimpy tropical system" - this is actually a serious event.

One good ting about Dolly is that its now not expected to impact the oil industry at all. Thank god for that.
