They should put Adam and Kristin back on PME Weekend, as well. Sharon and Mike Bettes/Rick/Carl used to do four hours a night back in the day. Surely Adam and Kristin would be able to do three hours while Carl and Kristina also do three hours?

Since when has Weekend Now split up the Weekly Planner into two segments? Today at both 12:20 and 1:20 PM ET, they did the precipitation segments of the Weekly Planner at :20 then showed a Weather Ready segment, a commercial break, and then came back at :24 to present the temperature portion of the Weekly Planner.

What sense does that make?

They've done that for quite some time now; there's barely any time for either segment because of the silly Lifestyles segments at :21 during Weekend Now.

This must be "learn about Kristin Dodd's family" night. Now we know that her mom is dealing with flooding, and her sister is coming to visit me (figuratively) in Chicago.

Edit: Now her daughter went down to Florida on a dolphin watching ride.

Dang, sneaky editing there, Steve. :ninja: :P

Odd. Adam mentioned a southern movement to a tornado-producing storm in southeastern Wisconsin, which would mean that the storm is headed toward me, but my local Fox affiliate is saying that all of the area's storms are tracking northeast, which would put me out of the path. I wonder why the conflict? (although I do see a possible southern movement that Adam might also be seeing; I wonder how it's all going to pan out)

It's a shame that NWS LOT radar broke down during this critical period, but I'm seeing movement to the northeast on some cells and to the southeast on others with some cells even combining; it certainly doesn't look easy to tell exactly what's going on; it seems like a pretty complex situation.

It looks like the storms actually are tracking south, so TWC seems to have forecasted this one right. I wish they'd stick around for another hour... :furious:

Oh well, at least we'll have local news all hour. (ABC affiliates will have a later newscast due to the NBA Finals coverage)

They used the "Tornado Alley" music when going to a break on WC today. Yay for Stephen Arnold!

That was stupid: On EEWC, they used Titan to display flood watches, but it also wound up displaying severe thunderstorm warnings as well; the rebroadcast is going to be giving a lot of people expired information now.

When, approximately, did they stop showing the low temperature maps during the Weekly Planner?

I haven't seen it since 2005 or 2006, but I remember them showing the low temperature maps all the time pre-2003.

It appears they're using new, smaller L3s that are shifted to the left today.

EE has been using the daytime version all night...
