They just played extra Tropical Update music in the studio after the opener. It's awfully calm compared to years past.

Today's FO is using the two-person shot for Cheryl alone at the desk sitting in the center. It's actually pretty cool.

They also just played an old "Weather 101" segment explaining derechos featuring Carl Parker as narrator and Dr. Forbes standing on that old mini-set that used to be used for The Weather Classroom as well as a few EE segments during the 03-05 era.

It actually happened during one of the only shows I didn't record over the past three days. :(

Donno if this should be here or not, but they are calling for "Titan X" (x is a number) for radars now...I know at least on Monday they called for "Sky X"...maybe Titan has phased everything out?

Steve has an interesting theory about this, and the more I think about, the more I can believe it. It would seem that they're piping SkyTracker through Titan. I've heard both references to SkyTracker and Titan today from Dave and Vivian, respectively. It makes sense because SkyTracker is still obviously being used some fashion; the radar's behavior is a giveaway, as are the remnants of Interstate font on some cities.

The "Check in with Your Weather Today" returned today at the end of First Outlook, but they never did show Heather full-screen; they only showed her in the two-split.

I wonder if we'll also see the other two "check-ins" return today: PM Edition to Abrams & Bettes as well as Abrams & Bettes to Evening Edition.

Mine wasn't either, but I really wish the satellite LF would kick in and shut up that Intellistar.
