They waited until Memorial Day weekend last year.

BTW, they're still using the winter opener on WWC; the summer opener usage only happens every now and then.

Now Cheryl's on First Outlook this morning as the travel analyst.

That must be odd for her. First Outlook used to be her show.

I can't believe I'd ever say this, but I miss hearing "The following is a co-production of and is jointly funded by The Weather Channel and The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration." on TWC.

The new Master operator has used nothing but EE music for the past two nights, and plenty of it, too!
Are they still doing this? When I saw EEWC last Friday night for an hour or so, no EE music was played at all (or any music for that matter).

Some nights, I think. I haven't watched as much this week since I've been going to bed a little earlier.

EEWC is doing live severe weather coverage; will someone please tell me WHY they didn't preempt WWCH tonight with all of the severe weather going on? They just don't care anymore. Pretty shameful.

I understand there was tornadoes reported in Virginia tonight. I would certainly think that is worthy of preemption, but I guess not.  <_<

It's possible they used the Istar's dual feed to preempt WWCH.

Dave is on solo for the afternoon, my friends. Glad I have the afternoon off so I could see him. B)

Solo eh? I like him better when he has a partner. When he's solo he's a little duller in my opinion because he has no one to banter with.

Wow, Dave actually called the segment at 1:50 PM ET "Storm Watch." I haven't called it called "Storm Watch" in quite a while. In fact the exact quote was "Welcome back, we're on Storm Watch, my friend."  :sunglasses:

What happened to those Storm Watch openers anyway? They haven't shown then since before the 2007 hurricane season began.

After a commercial, they showed a sponsored destination forecast graphic with the old 2003-2005 banner!
