I believe it was 1998, during the Weather Center relaunch.

Did it start in the mornings or afternoons?

It ran overnight, from 2-5 AM IIRC.

It seems that a Forecast Earth report on refrigerators uses the same background music as the Storm Alert/Fall 2007/Winter 2007/2008 :57 station ID music.

Everybody say it with me now...

OLD!

Nah, just teasing ya, Billy! :)

BTW, there's also a long form show out there (Full Force Nature, maybe?) that uses the PME going-to-break teaser music.

They normally host the final hour of Day Planner and the 2 hours of Weather Center on weekdays. ;) What wasn't normal was they were at the big desk (Studio 1A), however, that WILL be the norm from now on until they relaunch in HD.

The chroma key that Jeff has been using so far today appears to have a light that is off or has burnt out, because there is a dark spot on the upper left hand corner of the screen whenever he is on the maps.
