My interest in TWC after the buyout dwindled rather quickly after one of the anchors spent 5 minutes of airtime reading Twitter comments about how hot she was.
I'm pretty sure if that actually happened, she was more than likely mocking them, if anything.

looks like we got ourselves a major hurricane about to make landfall soon as Harvey, the zombie hurricane reformed yesterday and just became a hurricane today and is expected to become a cat 3 by Saturday as it will make landfall in Texas.

that means Weather Channel's already on Storm Alert mode with all the lights in the studio in red and the storm alert music playing during LOT8s.

well, for the first time in a long time, The Weather Channel is now in Black mode with red TWC logo for the LDL bar.

Harvey is really now a monster cat. 4 hurricane, S :censored: is about to hit the fan.

IMO the red and black is a cool, sleek look for TWC; I suppose it would lose its impact if overused, but it does look good.  There's live coverage at night with OCMs, almost like there used to be.  I desperately wish this extra coverage were under better conditions ( ), but between the eclipse and Harvey, this is about the most I've watched TWC in one week since that ice storm during the winter.

anyway, after Harvey made landfall, they reverted back to blue early Saturday and then reverted back to black mode today due to the flooding event in Houston by Harvey.

I'm shocked Weather Underground was canceled tonight
Anyone know why they couldn't track Irma tonight in there?

This is probably the most coverage of TWC I've ever watched for the first time in years! :) First the solar eclipse on August 21, then Hurricane Harvey from August 24-September 1, now Hurricane Irma since at least Monday. I think the last time I watched TWC on consecutive days was probably "Winter Storm Jonas™" the January 2016 East Coast Blizzard. Now if only TWC would permanently ditch the long-form programing on a slow weather day.

I just hope every reporter on TWC and also on all other networks stay safe from Irma. This storm is probably even worse than Harvey.

not an error at all, i think TWC is pointing out the serious nature of Irma after what happened with Harvey a few weeks ago. and it's actually a good thing so i can keep up with what cat she is, how fast the winds are and where it's going without having to wait until they return from the commercial/LOT8s break.

With Tropical Depression Irma now dissipated, TWC has gone back to their regularly scheduled boring reality shows and documentaries. :( I think their coverage wrapped up at 8:00 PM ET. With the nearly two consecutive week "marathon" of watching live weather coverage on TWC coming to an end since start of the solar eclipse coverage, I really miss the days that even on a slower weather-related news day, TWC used to always care about forecasts 24/7. Heck, I even miss Evening Edition and Overnight Outlook being on every night. :( All I ever watch on TWC these days are AMHQ, WeatherCenter Live, WeatherUnderground, and Weekend Recharge and whenever a major storm is going on. Whenever the reality shows comes on TWC, I always change the channel. It's kind of sad how much things have changed at TWC.

I hope everyone in Florida has stayed safe from Irma.
