The screen during hurricane long form programming is being spammed with a logo that is not needed on screen.

As they did on Tornado Week they are spamming the screen with a twitter hash tag promotion that blocks the bottom of the maps and graphics.

At least they are not doing a tacky hurricane room.

If that was the future of TWC's graphics then the channel is doomed  :hmm:

The logo must be there to remind people of the theme in case non-weather-related longform is aired.  ;)

TWC is starting to air new promos about the OCM's.
Noticed this one for Maria LaRosa.

Just a thought... Instead of them wasting time airing a OCM promo, they should have taken that 30 seconds and added it back into the local forecast time..

(yeah, like that'll ever really happen)

Come on, TWC!  What's next, reality-show-esque "goodbye promos" for the OCM's that get laid off?

I agree, but knowing TWC they are stuck finding ways to drive away "weather drawn" viewers rather than bring back either a revamped K or L/M Flavor.

TWC in the old days did these promos as well, and some were pretty good.  Of course, they still had plenty of time to fit them in with everything else years ago due to less commercials.

This is a little bit off topic from the current discussion but I was digging around in the Video Helper Library and have Identified a few tracks.   VH 29 Track 27 "Datastreams" is used for most of the Live Weather Updates\Squeezeback Local Forecasts during longform.  VH035 Track 43 "Anger Pays Off" is the Old Tropical Update music.  Also, I was able to edit together a little bit longer cut of the Evening Edition music. If anyone wants me to post it here, just say and I will.

What state is that from, Alaska?  :dunno:  Maybe TWC doesn't care about forecasting accurate weather anymore.  :wall:

This forecast is for Astoria, Oregon. I was actually referring to the wrong partly cloudy icon for the tonight forecast.
