That is her. I remember she dyed her sometime last year. I'm not a fan of her hairstyle either.

Out of curiosity, anyone know the font that's being used for Saturday in IceManNYR's image posted above?

That can't be Verdana. Verdana doesn't have a curved tail on the R, so I'm guessing it's some variant of Frutiger, like on most of their other graphics.

How, though, does something like that even happen?!  Someone must have been goofing off and didn't reset things to normal before that graphic had to air.

I think this may be the first time weather.com has had an animated GIF on their homepage.  It's nice that they're able to show the track of the storm, but the speed almost makes me sick.

I think a simple smooth animation at a slower rate would have done better like they show on air sometimes.

TWC logic: We've got a giant HD-capable set, and several ancillary sets throughout the building with a variety of backdrops....let's design a tacky greenscreen background because it looks COOOOOOOL!!!!  That's distracting as all get-out.

I've been doing a lot of complaining when it comes to this stuff, but I really wanna know. What was the point of spending half a billion dollars on a new studio if you're not going to use but a small corner of it for live programming now? Outside of those first 9 months when they went HD, they don't bother to use anything but the same desk in front of a video wall and a couple of green screens. Couldn't they have just done that in the old studio in the old building by renovating it and called it a day instead of wasting that money?
