Cantore and Steele were a great pair indeed it was one of the few live programs Ive watched on TWC in 2009 especially during Vortex 2. Robinson was let go when again?
I believe he left on his own terms in December 2009.
Yeah, I think Kevin chose to leave after his contract expired.
This is incorrect. He got a chief meteorologist job I think in Ohio at that time.

I knew that, but I also thought I remembered it being discussed here that his contract was about to expire around that time also which is why he took that cheif met job. I guess I was mistaken, sorry if I caused any confusion.

Mike Seidel is in Oklahoma City and Jim Cantore in Mississippi for the storm coming to those areas today.
My guide says TWC is on tape 2pm-4am.The schedule on weather.com says they are live all day.

Very smart decision. This storm system doesn't look to be one to screw around with.

Are they going preempt during the 2-4am overnight hours too? I ask since more of these storms will form well into those hours and many people would presumably be up keeping themselves updated with the storm coverage.

According to most online TV listings, they all say that "Day Planner" will now air from 11AM-5PM ET (8AM-2PM PT) beginning this Monday. Is this true?

The TV guides on excite.com and on Charter's official site say it is on from 11 to 5 ET. Someone on YouTube said that it was also on zap2it.com  :hmm:

I guess the only way to find out if this is true or not is to watch at 2PM ET Monday, unless if somebody can officially confirm the schedule change ahead of time.

He is still with WLWT in Cincinnati.

Does anyone know if TWC still transmits a signal to the GE Satcom 13 satellite that would be decodable by a VideoCipher II (with a C-band dish/satellite receiver?)

Do you mean the AMC 11 satellite? If so, then yes they do or else the XL/4000/Junior would not be in commission
