He behaved that way during Hurricane Andrew coverage I looked at on Youtube as well. I hope it's just the urgency of the weather situations that make him act that way and it's not how he really is. If so, he would be a real pain for me to work with. <_< I can't STAND when people interrupt/cut me off or even worse try to speak for me as if I'm deaf or something.

I don't particularly care for Brian Norcross, although he isn't that bad either.

Not sure how I feel about the new guy, Dr. Postel; I haven't seen him on too much.

Overall, I was impressed with TWC's coverage on Isaac. However, I did not like seeing commercial breaks every 5 minutes, got very annoying.

As for the reporting meteorologists, they did pretty well IMO. As for my commemts on Reynolds Wolf, I think he did okay, but I just don't see him being more than a Jorma Duran-type field reporter.
I notice he likes to walk a lot during the live shots, instead of just standing in one spot. However the way he talks and the words he uses, he would seem better on a national news station, like CNN where he came from.

Dr. Greg Postel: Not bad, but tends to stutter at times. I would cut him slack, he's just getting used to the hurricane expert position. Otherwise, he's very professional and informative.

Bryan Norcross: Okay; he seems very knowledgable and professional, despite being a bit dominate at times.

I'll keep it short and not talk about the mets... I just came on to complain that they're still using the red lighting. I'm kind of over it. They're still using all the graphics they used the whole time before and during the storm. I'm pretty sure it's time to go back to more normal procedures.

On a different note... I wish they'd keep the mini radar and weather graphics on the left of the LDL permanently. Maybe add it in to the IS & IS2 for local radar or nationally for zoomed in areas where severe weather is occurring. Would be nice.

Okay, seriously... now they're back to the flashing 1 second fast-paced videos they used to edit up all the time that can give people seizures? Yay! :nono:

annddddd... /endrant

Sorry, bad night.

The LDL is back to blue at 1 AM ET. I would expect the studio colors to be back to normal with First Outlook.

EDIT: I was correct on that prediction. ;)

These events are TWCs prime money generators where the most people tune in. Its just part of the business. Plus doing a live show is pretty hectic. They need a break just to keep things going.

To use an analogy on Martin's point above, live hurricane coverage is like "Black Friday" to TWC.  It means almost everything.  You can bet all the OCMs where desperately looking for a break due to all the on-air coverage and on-the-field reporting.

The male OCMs are still jacketless ever since Isaac passed through the US... I honestly feel they should be wearing their blazers/jackets as it makes them seem a little more professional. I mean, I don't really need to see what type of undershirt they have on underneath their dress shirts, if they even have anything on underneath... Just my opinion...

Well, I don't notice anything different yet. Maybe it will be later within the hour?

I don’t either and I’ve been watching TWC ever since I found this at 6:50 CT this morning.  I haven’t heard a thing about it on TWC which gives me a feeling that it’s either going to be a new LDL or Local forecast?  The only thing is, why would TWC pick the last hour of YWT to do this?
Another interesting thing is, the vocal music has not returned to the local forecast, and the men still have their coats off.

I have Dish so, if anyone who has TWC on cable sees something, tell us!

8:47AM CT, nothing yet but I did see something that caught my eye, When Maria was doing the intro for the CNBC Segment, I saw what looked like a newer version of The TWC Logo on the touch screen. It spun around a few times, and it looked very classy. Has that always been on the touch screen when they’re not using it, or is it new?

Also, I forgot to mention this earlier but it seems like TWC has a little interference going on this morning. It’s not all the time but, you do notice it. Is that any clue?
