After almost 48 hours of non-stop coverage, TWC ends it's live coverage. Long-Form resumes at 2AM ET.

Heather Tesch was on with Nick Walker for DP this afternoon.  Doesn't Vivan normally work this shift?  She must be on vacation or something.

Well she was on all this weekend so they probably let her have a day or two off.

The brick wall studio to the right of the Digital Media Center is now being referred to as Studio 1C on air.

The 7pm ET edition of Weather Center Live is actually using the studio and green screen for forecasts.
It's much better then having the OCMs standing by the control room and in the global forecast center.

Gosh, why oh why does TWC have to have that ugly-looking green logo for Green is Universal week?  It's such an eyesore.  A forest green, or sea green, or something would have been nice, but this bright, lime green is just . . .

It's the same that it always has been..

Andy is it becoming a semiannual tradition for you to complain about the shad of green in the logo or what? :P

Yes!  Come on, I can't be the only one who thinks it's an eyesore. :P

On another note, who's watching the premiere of Turbine Cowboys tonight?  Seriously, you know you want to! :bleh:

1. It wouldn't kill em' to make it a couple of shades darker.

2. Not a snowball's chance in Hades.  :P

From a TWC press release,
The "Braving the Elements" anthology will feature multiple miniseries, each comprised of four 30-minute episodes, including: "Lights Out," following crews who are the first ones on the scene to restore power during inclement - and often severe - weather; "Turbine Cowboys," featuring the men and women who are pushed to the limit both physically and emotionally as they  brave extreme heights and every conceivable weather condition to work on wind turbines; and "Iron Men" (working title), profiling the iron workers who spend their days hundreds of feet above New York City. Additional titles in the anthology will be added throughout the year.

The "Braving the Elements" anthology might be the most boring barely weather related shows on The Weather Channel.
Wow a show about people restoring power, skip.
Wow a show about people fixing wind Turbines, skip.
Wow a show about iron workers building in NYC, skip.
From the short preview of "Iron Men" it's like that show on TruTV about the guys who work on oil rigs that fight and curse all day.

While I have respect for the people who do those jobs I have no interest in reality shows about them.
