EDIT: Did they redo the Satellite LDL? It looks like the blue is darker and the templates that display the weather info look black. It looks much better this way imo.
I think the bar got darkened, however, when I see it on my tuner, it looks like the red templates seen on the red LDL... worth mentioning that HD feed is the same way too

The darker blue looks good, but I don't like it that the boxes with the weather info side them are now black.

Um, why has TWC stopped its coverage of Lee to show Storm Riders?  :dunno: That really makes a lot of sense.   <_<

Hakeem: What's up, Jetsons!
Frank Mitchell: Jetsons?
Hakeem: Yeah, you and George got the same haircut.

Maybe they're assuming it's late and that Lee coverage could take a couple-hour break, especially considering they have pre-empted for such a long stretch of time. This may give the OCMs and producers a break. Weather Center Live will be returning at 1 ET, according to weather.com, and coverage should be continuous torrow.

During taped programming they have the maps of lee on the bottom left and the logo is the regular solid logo.

I think they did that intentionally.

The SD satellite LDL that they're currently using looks like something special they're using for Lee coverage. It doesn't transition in like the normal satellite LDL and the Lee inset satellite seems to appear in congruence with the LDL. Furthermore, the LDL seems to be a darker shade of blue than the normal one.

Back to Irene ratings.  I am not surprised that TWC was the number one source.  Like some of you have already mentioned, their programming sucks, but when it comes to covering the weather (especially severe weather events), their coverage is great!

The only problem, in my opinion, is Bryan Norcross.  He seems very uncomfortable while on-air and seems to stumble from time to time (I know nobody is perfect).  He seems to know his stuff, but I just don't think he is great at communicating it.  Dr. Knabb is great.

On the other hand, TWC did a great job with having Carl do updates from the expert desk during severe weather events.  He is a fantastic meteorologist, and definitely communicates that in a clear, concise way.

I have the same problem with Bryan Norcross, that's why I like Dr. Knabb better.

They need to rename the 7 Day Forecast to the 5 Day forecast.
When it aired during the 11am, 12pm and 2pm shows they only went from Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday.

Does anyone have the 8:48AM HD Sat Local from yesterday?  One of the screens was just the windy icon, filling the whole screen.

TWC is MESSED UP right now....no LDL, static on screen, and NOTIFY! ad is the only thing that is not staticy.....

EDIT #1: Static is gone, still no LDL.

EDIT #2: Still no National LDL as of 12:33 PM CT...

This happened a while back as well. Note the snapshots. This one seems to be worse than the last one.
Old quote, i know, but i forgot to say, but the Saturday during Irene coverage, the HD feed did this exact thing at about ~9:40 AMish...
