On YWT, they just showed their NEW 3D studio?

WTF? What do they need a 3D studio for? I really don't understand what's so special about 3D.

EDIT: Nevermind, I saw your post right above me.

We'll since its designed in graphics, its more cost effective when they want a studio that looks a certain way for a segment. You could have all the studios you want. Why they need it, no idea.

Same here. The only one I've seen pulled off well is NBC's 3D election set. That was kind of cool.

Well that's a disappointment. I hope they don't do that on a regular basis. That's not what 3D sets were intended for IMO. They might as well be in front of the video wall (it would probably look better!).

I hope this was a waste of money. Totally disappointed. Doesn't look 3Dish at all.

This is more like a 3D weather presentation. And certainly more impressive than TWC.

I fail to see how that (TWC clip) is 3D. It's just a key wall extended to the floor.

I saw this last night and was gonna ask if that was the 3D studio they were using or just a chroma key wall either way there's nothing special about it and looks like another FAIL of wasted money.

There really aren't that many people with 3D Tv's and there isn't all that much content for them either.
