Is overall viewership and are ratings really going down because of Flick & a Forecast? :dunno: Because if NBC had a brain, you would think they would stop this programming. But, once again, I guess this is NBC. <_<
I am assuming they have enough people watching, or else I am sure they would stop.  But, like you said, it is NBC :P.

I was really impressed with their coverage last weekend, though  (Saturday/Sunday).

As was I, because it was a fail weekend too with word slips, L3rd fails, and LDA fails. :P

The studio is really dark at this hour. Not sure if this is pre-recorded coverage here at 2 AM ET.

Flick and a Forecast is going on as scheduled, apparently.  Dual-feed will be utilized in the storm areas.
Certainly no dual feed here, and we should be getting it, because there are warnings north of the city, and those counties are in the Pittsburgh DMA.
Betty(?) said that everyone was getting the movie, but people in the storm areas would be getting coverage as needed.  So I don't know what happened there.

Heather seems to not be turning her entire body when she's facing the camera as the audio quality gets better when she faces to the camera's right, but sounds muffled when she faces the camera.

Not that I agree with the decision, but isn't running the movie not much different than years past when they'd run their other primetime shows during severe weather events? Albeit those didn't take up 4-5 hours of time. I can't remember all the instances where this happened, but my earliest recollection was November 10, 2002 when they were running "Atmospheres" at 5, 8 and 11 PM on the weekends (in reruns, the show was out of production). There was quite a tornado outbreak that day and TWC did not preempt that show on that Sunday afternoon and evening. I remember complaints about that being deleted on the old weather.com message boards.

By the way, they were using the dual-feed here in Cincinnati last night.

Were there any local forecasts during WWCH? They just went right to Storm Stories at 2:59 PM ET without showing a local forecast, and there wasn't one prior to the WWCH's credits (just a station ID).

I'm surprised he is an OCM if he is not a very good "public" speaker.

He sounds like me when I was in Speech class :P.

I think he does better under pressure.  He was not really studdering last weekend during the severe weather outbreak.  I actually could stand watching him.  He did really well.

It now seems they changed the entire PME music package. Prior to the opener, there wasn't any production music and the music was eerily similar to the opener music.
