Heather Tesch and Kim Perez were on FO
That was an interesting choice that early in the morning

Wow, that's odd

Seems like First Outlook is beginning to turn into SW/WO, having a random OCM schedule let alone a not so professional looking production.

Flick and a Forecast is going on as scheduled, apparently.  Dual-feed will be utilized in the storm areas.

I'm so sick of this "Flick and a Forecast" thing.  NBC seems to think that The Weather Channel is supposed to be an entertainment network first and foremost... just one that happens to have a focus on the weather.  They couldn't be more wrong.

I agree with you. I think that this time, Flick and a Forecast viewership is going to be down significantly, due to what happened last Friday.

It was a very bad plan NBC had to turn its new property into another general entertainment channel, and I hope, without serious detriment to The Weather Channel, this plan fails.  Enough is enough already.

If any of the controversy over this, and many of the other decisions NBC has made for TWC, had occurred to them, things would have changed by now. We all remember how hectic things were last weekend, when the south experienced such extreme severe weather. TWC should have kept their normal schedule, with the normal LF and commercial schedule, through the whole evening. Even if TWC had used the dual feed feature, it would not have been seen by many viewers. Plus, I'm sure there are family members well away from the affected areas anyways. But NBC and TWC are now heartless corporations, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do but not watch. If I'm that desperate to watch TV, there are plenty of other shows at this time of the evening to watch.

All I can do is say that it's a shame.  Jim Cantore's tweet, however, reminded me that even in a soulless corporation there are still employees with souls.

Yes, I was glad he was willing to step up and explain his thoughts.

Certainly no dual feed here, and we should be getting it, because there are warnings north of the city, and those counties are in the Pittsburgh DMA.

Is overall viewership and are ratings really going down because of Flick & a Forecast? :dunno: Because if NBC had a brain, you would think they would stop this programming. But, once again, I guess this is NBC. <_<
