I have never been so enraged at TWC. NEVER!!!! This is bullshit.

Heres is what we know. A young kid told his parents someone got onto a balloon and it blew away. Balloon landed and no kid has been found. He either went SPLAT or the kid lied. Either way I dont care. Its 1 kid. NOT worth almost an 1hr continuous coverage on THE WEATHER CHANNEL. Hell they aren't even doing commercials.

What the hell is wrong with them? Two days before, I was watching them for the California storm coverage, and now they're just BS'ing their way through the broadcast.

Also, it seems like the OCM's are getting unlimited vacation time, because 9 out of 10 days there is a fill-in sometime in the day.

MSNBC ran for at least one or two hours without commercials in continuous live coverage.

Why is TWC covering the story? It's not a weather event at all...

I think they were covering it because the boy's father was a former weather guy, and that the balloon was used for a weather experiment.

Ok seriously,if I wanna hear about this story,I can just watch my local news in 40 minutes..They won't even talk about it as much as TWC has.That's pretty sad since a news station probably won't cover it as long..  :hmm:

It was a weather balloon.
25-35mph winds in the area.
Cold temps aloft (20s in the 7000ft range, this could go to 10000ft)

Kid was hiding in a box in the attic. Brother of the kid told the story to his parents. Bet they got a nice laugh. Hope the parents have to pay for all of the wasted money. News media is kinda stumbling now. Seem to quickly be moving past the story now
