YWT's lower thirds have been the same way lately. I really don't like it, the text looks much better centered.

Wont the radar box cover the text once we have a tropical storm alert?

If they keep the radar box on the far left for future storm alerts, they would be forced to either shift the text over towards the right or just center it completely.  I agree with Stephen that the text on lower thirds looks better centered all the time anyway.

if you've ever seen the On the Phone custom lower third on Weather Center, they're perfectly able to shift the text over and make it smaller

For me anyways, it's kind of weird seeing Bill on late at night. I am just so used to the days when he was on Weekend View or filling in on YWT.

It looks like the studio doesn't have those pillar stripes (or whatever they're called) white during PM Edition and evening Weather Center anymore. For the past week, they've been using the light blue stripes instead during these shows like what they've been doing in the morning. :(

Why does it feel like the TWC studio is being changed so much lately?  I don't even know how some of you all can keep up with it as I can remember time periods of a couple years when barely anything in the studio was altered.

I miss the days when each show in the HD studio had its unique set. :( Now it seems like TWC is "blending" everything together to make no show unique in set-up.

Day Planner should face the WUWA board. With the HD TV to the side that says Day Planner, It would look really good I'm sure.
