I noticed there is a redish glow on the set today. Where is that coming from?

Heather's shirt  :P...um but it looks like it may be part of the studio is lit up red for what's typically used in storm alert.

oh and do Heather and Carl match daily like how it used to be with Marshall? I never paid attention until I saw that picture...

Haha, That is exactly what I was thinking, that maybe it was a reflection of Heather's shirt. It could also be maybe a "test" of storm alert?  Who knows.

off topic:  Anytime anyone gets a pic of heather, she's always got a serious, or "seductive(ish)" look to her face :P

Weekend Now Theme was used today! They used the music during the video opener at 2:00pm ET and then TRIED to cue the music right after, but stupid production music was playing right after as well and that killed the WN theme

Extended Weekend Now for Tropical Storm Claudette at 1 PM CT.

And on that note, they used the Weekend Now theme for the opener at the top of the hour. :D

Hurray! :D I saw that, too and am glad that they for once didn't use their dumb production music. How come Day Planner and Weekend Now are the only ones that use random production music for the openers? :dunno: It's annoying IMO. <_<

I never like production music on TWC since the HD relaunch thanks to that annoying new age they always use in last summer on EE (and now on WN/WC). Now this summer again!? <_<

That reminds me, they used a cut of Day Planner's music at the end of the show early last week (Tuesday I think).

Still Weekend Now at 4PM, with the one minute flavors. IMO, PM Edition should start this hour. Weird seeing yellow lower thirds in the afternoon/evening.

Is PM Edition Weekend supposed to use the dark lower thirds that were once used for EE? :dunno: I saw them in use yesterday and wondered if they were supposed to be that way or if it was an error.

The overnight edition of PM Edition Weekend is supposed to use the old EE lower thirds.

Has T.S. Claudette made landfall yet? :dunno: Storm Stories is on now, so TWC must not be worried anymore about Claudette or the tropics in general.

No, Claudette will make landfall later tonight.  TWC might do more tropical coverage then.

I saw an L-bar when Jim Cantore was reporting, so they're stepping up the coverage.

More like FAIL-bar - when the L-Bar appeared the feed didn't squeeze back - in other words - the national L-Bar did not appear.

And they're actually stepping DOWN the coverage, apparently. This afternoon's long-form block was completely pre-empted, but yet they've decided to go with longform this evening with updates every so often.
