Here's a better idea:  Why don't they just abandon the sound effects altogether and go back to focusing on the musical themes?  I can't recall hearing any sound effects during the 1990s and early 2000s on TWC.  They weren't needed as the musical segments were outstanding by themselves.
Exactly.

According to TWCMediaKit, the next green week isn't until November.

Thanks for uploading this hilarious moment, Aaron.  I seriously doubt that Mike and Stephanie will ever do another eating contest again! :rofl2:

Has anyone ever noticed that ever since WC debuted in HD, the map background for the little desk isn't as deeply blue as it was when A&B relaunched in HD?

A&B:

WC:

notice the lack of detail and brightness.... I wonder if it was accent lighting or if they decided to just change something... I liked it better when A&B relaunched.

From what I'm guessing, the maps were LED lights themselves, just like the map in the original A&B studio. Not sure how they burned out within only a few months of use, but it seems like they did indeed burn out since the right panel went out first, then the center panel only a few weeks later, and then several weeks later, the left panel finally went out.

I thought that map seemed to be getting dimmer with time, but I had no idea it had dimmed out by that much!
