Saturday I believe there was no extended live coverage and TWC went to reality shows at 2pm.

Today TWC was live 4:30am-2pm and they are back live 5pm-9pm.

"Kim Cunningham - Join me and Nick Walker 5-9pm live tonight with updates on Winter Storms Orion and now Pax! Winter storm watches up for the south again!!"

Ok, thanks.

Good call, it could be worse conditions for some Southern cities compared to 2 weeks ago. They should definitely be covering it not just today, but hopefully all week.

TWC still doing segments on how and why they name winter storms.
If they still have to explain how and why it kinda adds the question of it being necessary.

Hmm... It looks likes Kim and Paul are in the satellite center for WCL. Must be maintenance in the studio. By the way it's been a little over a month and TWC is live from 4a - 8p straight through. Still the guide hasn't been updated.

Watching Raging Nature and the promo on the upper left said, special coverage winter weather, stay tuned in? Maybe dual feed? Maybe they'll preempt? If anyone is seeing special coverage around 10:00 - 10:30 PM on 2/18/14 then this proves they are using it. Although I don't know if they use it or has since the November Relaunch?

At 4pm TWC is using a remodeled studio made to appear like the HD studio.
It has the same wood walls and a smaller LCD wall behind the desk.
Anyone know if this is 1C or is that being remodeled for AMHQ?

It's amazing to think they're already renovating their main studio after all the work and expense they put into it just a few short months ago.

Either they are just doing scheduled maintenance or maybe all that unused empty space in the HD studio is going to be the set for AMHQ?

What is likely happening is that they're using a newly renovated Studio 1C (the one they used in October 2013 when the main studio was remodeling and hasn't be seen since the relaunch) because that studio is very small and compact. The Main Studio is likely undergoing it's 3rd Renovation in 2 years in preparation for Sam Champion's New Show which is set to debut on March 17. Sam Champion posted on his Instagram a picture of what could be the new set after the renovations are completed: http://instagram.com/p/kj4gVSjm9A/#

Has anyone noticed they stopped doing Live Weather Updates on the Weekends during Long Form? Now it's Local on the 8s. Last Time I checked a week or two ago it was usually Kyla or Keith giving a 30 second update.

Coverage ended at 5 PM. Maybe they went to the dual feed for the area? I was hoping they would go until the warning expired.  :cry3: Well At lease they actually preempted for one little warning. Haven't seen that in a while. Either way good job TWC

While I'm sure not everybody is happy, i'm impressed to see the strides the network has made to include more weather (when warranted). Whether you agree or disagree with the naming of winter storms, its allowed them to organize and execute more winter weather coverage.
