So this segment on TWC is supposed to use S.O.S. as a different acronym. Problem is, thanks to the larger LDL, we can't see what the second S means. Sorry, I just love to play, as Ana calls it, "Spot the fail!" :P

Forgot to mention this before I went on hiatus (I apologize if I did mention this somewhere else)... just about two weeks, Kim Perez just had her last show before her wedding and her honeymoon. on her facebook, she mentioned that she'll be back on June 21, but she will no longer be Kim Perez. She'll be Kim Cunningham. :)

On Hurricane Force, they used "Attack Engine" by David Robidoux from the October 2009 playlist as their opening theme music. Not a bad choice..

I've watched that episode with that song a LONG time ago.

Where's the "S" part of the acronym?

That is really interesting that she is going to go along with the name change.  Although this is not unheard of, most women keep their maiden names for TV.

Congrat to Kim :)

Did anyone else hear the song played at/around 7:28AM CT? It sounded like a remixed version of this song:

Yeah they've been doing those for years. The content depends on the ad. The ad before it was travel-related, so the IntelliStar showed local airport delays. If it was an allergy ad, the data may have been the air quality or local pollen count.

Tonight's long-form schedule is a little bit different. Weather Center will air at 8 PM, 11 PM, Midnight, and 3 AM ET.

I wonder which hours will be live with radar and which hours will be the overnight, recorded version. I'm guessing the 11 PM hour will be fully live with the recorded edition being at Midnight ET.

Based on the guide, this schedule will also be used next Friday.

I never understood the Tor-Con scale. It seems like TWC has a knack for making fictitious scales (Golf index etc.). What registers a 10 on the Tor-Con and why does it make no sense to say "this area has a high chance of severe thunderstorms and tornadoes developing tonight"?
