Guess TWC wasn't thinking about ever using a green screen again. :thinking:

Wonder what the heck is going on??? :wacko: Are they still in the old studio? Because couldn't they just use the green screen in the HD studio?  :dunno: So it can't be just the video wall. :no:

The first half of that open was definitely  part of MSNBC's tropical graphics last year, and if not, they're very similar.

I like it, but "Tropical Update" being on a floating parallelogram at the end seemed kinda odd to me. It would have been better with just the text by itself like it was last year.

Thanks for th video! :D Yeah, the opener is almost too dramatic. :thinking: But, after seeing the whole thing, the parallelogram is almost meant to be like a boat on the rough water. It's kind of cool. :yes:

According to one of the DP producers there wasn't a technical error this afternoon, they just wanted to record more stuff with the FEMA director so they needed the studio

I agree. Graphic is quite stunning but the music doesn't appeal to me. I am just glad those intros using those whooshing noises from last year are gone
