I've been gone for most of the day and I was not in the know of what has happened. Let me make this short and simple here while you can read my long version at my blog (great, I'm making this longer. >_>).
1. I'm with Jim. He has the right to be mad.
2. Like I said in my last post in this thread, TWC CLEARLY stated that they were going to preempty their movie night. Once I come back I heard about them playing the movie while there are a dozen tornado warnings (most of then PDS). I mean, what the hell? 3 people died (iirc) because of the tornado outbreak. I blame partially on TWC.
3. Whatever happened to "WHEN SEVERE WEATHER STRIKES, TURN TO THE WEATHER CHANNEL" ? Thats a big LIE.
Right now I see Sam and Paul. Yes there is coverage, and looks like it's commercial free. I'm glad they're covering it. Let's hope they never do this again.
Jonny, you can have your soapbox now.
Yeah I get home hear on the local news of a tornado outbreak tune into the weather channel to see what's going on and there's a movie. You'd think with a tornado outbreak they'd get more eyeballs(ratings) than a movie. I know the local news eats tornado outbreaks up for their news ratings. You'd think channels like the Weather Channel would benefit the same. Just my two cents. Love the forum.
Local newscasts are much more reliable than TWC, imo. TWC doesn't know what their thinking when a huge tornado outbreak is active. A movie is not the solution. That makes the channel ugly.
