TWC didn't know NBC was buying them at that time. When the HD relaunch happened, there were still two main bidders (NBC and Time Warner).

Well sorry... :wacko:

I thought that TWC was airing the promos in letterbox because of the way NBC did HD to SD stuff. And after seeing that video I had linked, it reminded me of how the other major networks did their HD to SD stuff, simply by cropping 16:9 to 4:3 instead of letterboxed 16:9 on a 4:3 screen.
