It was their "First Day of Spring" apple, as Dave put it.

Logica, I'm not going to keep warning you to quit it with the off topic and/or general nonsense posts. I'm losing my patience now.

Are these the same L3s from last year? They look awfully familiar.
Did they even have Spring graphics last year? I don't even remember seeing Welcome to Spring openers at all.

They did; they used the same music they're using this year. In 2006, they used the Weekend Now music.

LMAO @ Dave's props (you KNOW this is Dave's idea and Viv is just along for the ride, haha). "First Day of Spring apple" is great, although not quite as epic as the stuffed animals he and Hillary had for Groundhog Day a few years back.

The Day Planner opener played at 10:30 ET. I haven't seen this happen on full controlled shows in quite awhile.

Today at 12:43 PM ET, they showed a P. Allen Smith gardening segment. I thought that they discontinued the segments with Smith.

Billy i think it only comes on once and awhile but because spring is somewhat here they might show it more often

It's Steph and Jim on EE tonight. I wonder how much flirting we'll see. :P

Edit (8:29): Hey Jim, the club for walking the obs. deck of Mt. Washington is called the Century Club, not the Mile-high Club! I wonder where your mind is tonight... :P

They just used the original 2005 EE L-shaped teaser graphic; I haven't seen that used since they started using still keys in January.

It still doesn't look as good without animation, though.

3:30 PM CT - Summer Weather Center opener

This looks like what we saw last fall; the weekend team kept using the winter opener at the bottom of every hour up until the official transition into the winter openers in December.
