I don't see how people are saying "I hear Storm Alert music", when we don't even know what they use for storm alert music, beause they havn't gone into storm alert yet...  :dunno:
They are hearing the storm Alert music from previous years (2005, 2006). ;)
Well it'd be nice if they mentioned that.

I wonder what the music will sound like, though.

Exactly my thinking, Kyle.

I also think that Storm Alert probably won't start until Sunday morning at 7 AM ET since it usually doesn't start until the system is less than 36 hours out, and 7 AM ET seems to be the precedent for when Storm Alert starts. Now I have to debate whether to stay up for it or not... >_<

Maybe I'll just sleep in like three hour increments and wake up in time for each show's timeslot to start. :P

As a final thought, even though they're not in Storm Alert, will TWC find the means to go live overnight like they should, or will they leave us in the dark again? If they do go live overnight, they would certainly need the help of the weekday folks to do that.

No, but it's played occasionally the past few days/weeks/months.

One more discussion point: Why did TWC cover Dean's landfall in Mexico so much last year when generally, (including right now) TWC doesn't care that much to cover non-U.S. landfalls? Was that just due to the lack of U.S. action last year?

Probably because (a) 2007 was a lot less active in the US than they had anticipated and (b) it was a Category 5 at the time of landfall.

Jeff Morrow has been deployed for this storm; that's his first of the season! I wonder who will fill in for him on Monday morning; my guess would be Cheryl Lemke.

Hey, they fixed the lights to the right side of the city backdrop! I guess they wanted to be ready for the hurricane coverage...

...Carl also busted out a tie I've never seen before for this special occasion. :P

That's not new, Victor. ;) They used it several times before with earlier storms this year, and they used that last year too.
That inset animates in too fast IMO. They should make the animation a bit slower.

Indeed, no Storm Alert tonight. I wonder if Adam will be willing to say "gang" tonight under these circumstances... :P

Kristin said TWC would be on "High Alert" for the next 12 hours so maybe they will go into Storm Alert tomorrow morning.  :hmm:
