Dave and Kim doing HD Weekend Now.

...and during the open, Kim was plagued with the can't talk virus (or the can't read a teleprompter virus).

This is odd

I've got a Tornado Warning in effect, but at the same time there's a Flash Flood Warning, so the scroll shows the Flash Flood Warning (which is never a problem here on LI) right after the Tornado. Shouldn't they only be showing the tornado warning in terms of priorities?

Exactly.

What kills more per year, flooding, or tornadoes. ;)

Still, both are equally as important.  I didn't know that they showed multiple warnings up until a few weeks or so ago.

The warnings alternate, and the newer warning takes precedent. So, if a Tornado Warning was issued at, say, 5:00 and a Flash Flood Warning at 5:05 pm, the FF Warning would interrupt the Tornado Warning, and then they would alternate back and forth.

I see

It was pretty interesting having a Tornado, Severe Thunderstorm, and FF Warning all at the same time to say the least, but unfortunatly the local forecast didn't say "A.. Warning is in effect" when I taped it

Why in the world are Vivian and Nick using Google Earth's static radar view rather than Titan? Does TWC not know how hideous it looks on air?

I don't know why they can't just go back to the old NEXRAD radar feeds...

Nah, the NEXRAD radars are too old. They haven't shown them regularly since 2004. They might not even have them in their system anymore.

The last time I've seen them being used was in September 2007 during Hurricane Humberto.

what radar system are they using other than the google based ones? sometime last hour vivan mentioned a torando warning in SE Louisiana, and a radar popped up with no topographic map, just a brown background, with the airport codes.

That was a program similar to GrLevelX (but it wasn't; that program can not be used on TV).

They are having some of the most bizarre outages today.

At 3:29, Trammell/Emergency Feed played, it overran into FFN's slot, they cut to the river :57 id image, then started FFN late.

Billy, I happen to be an owner of GRLevel3.

I have seen Greg Forbes use GRLevel2 Analyst Edition on TWC. I think that program is restricted in some of the TV news markets out there.

Also, does anyone have any video of Titan/skytracker being down?
