Hello.I am in the PR department of The Weather Channel. Your name was given to me by our customer service representative when I asked him to provide me with the names of some viewers who had contacted us about their interest in the music that they hear on The Weather Channel. You may know that The Weather Channel has begun compiling some of the music that is played during "Local on the 8s" and offering on CD's. The first one -- "The Weather Channel Presents Smooth Jazz" was a big success when it was released last fall and made its way to the top of the Billboard chart in the "contemporary jazz" category. We have just recently put out a second CD, "Smooth Jazz II," and I am doing publicity to help drive sales of the CD. One of the reporters writing about the CD asked if he could have the names of some viewers who are really interested in the music on The Weather Channel and who might be able to comment about it and also -- it would be an extra plus -- if you were familiar with the CD too and perhaps had purchased because of your fondness for the music. Would you have an interest in speaking with the reporter and telling him what you think about the value and pleasure you receive from our music? Just let me know if you would be interested in looking into this. Thanks. Connie Malko, senior manager, PR, The Weather Channel
