Title: Dave Schwartz is on weather.com tonight
Post by: Spring Rubber on February 16, 2008, 03:43:35 AM
I'm so glad I happened to check in on weather.com tonight. This is the first time since Memorial Day that I've seen him on there. I'm currently in the process of downloading them right now (yes, I found out where the raw video is stored).

He spent over 1/3 of the Baltimore forecast talking about french fries. It started when Dave asked whether or not people in Baltimore still put gravy on their fries. So, do they, Gary? :P

Dang, I just checked the forecast for Baltimore, and Alex Wallace is on now. Would you mind uploading that video, Steve?

ROFL, a classic Dave moment.

Thanks for the video, Steve.

Actually, yes we do still put gravy on our fries. A very popular treat in these parts indeed.

That actually does sound pretty good; I might have to try that soon.

A little heads up: Dave is back doing the weather.com gig again tonight, my friend.

I wonder if this is going to be a regular thing for him now. (Perhaps in place of Bob Stokes?)

P.S., I wish I had a batch downloader... :P

Not really, but evidence points to him being gone from TWC.

This video is weird; the Allen Jackson narration for Sunday at the end completely fails.

Steve, how do you find the raw video feeds from the Blue Box Player (which seems to have turned green)?

I used a HTTP header logging Firefox extension to find the url, which is in the following format...

***

The actual file name is the name of the city/region/segment you want i.e.,

***

***

***

...and so on...

I just checked, and Kristin Dodd did tonight's weather.com forecasts. I wonder why Dave hosted WWC today instead of her.

Kristin Dodd is doing the forecasts? Wow, that's odd

Dave's on weather.com again on this fine Saturday night. I wonder if Saturday night weather.com is going to be a regular gig for him...

I wonder how Dave reacted for doing the weather for where he originated (and where he probably still lives): Philadelphia.

Dave is from Philadelphia?

Dave is from Philadelphia?
That's where he originated, according to his weather.com profile. I'm not sure if he still lives there or not.
