pre-March 2010 icon sets are used for select graphics on the network, and will probably remain unchanged, so don't be surprised. The WC/YWT 5 day forecast graphics still use the old ones, because, well, it looks better on them.

It does seem to be a challenge to get one unified graphics set and stick with it, doesn't it?  Heck, even the WeatherStar 4000 had two sets of weather icons - one for current conditions and extended forecasts and one for regional maps and the "Today's/Tomorrow's Forecast" line on the LDL.

It all depends on what goes better with the current graphics set really.

To also add onto Jesse's thing about the icons, just note that if TWC were to indeed retire the 2006-2010 set fully then the IS 2 would have the cheeseball set of icons more than likely but its just an opinion

I really don't understand why TWC needs two icon sets. I personally like the 2006-March 2010 ones. I know they didn't fit real well with the IS1, but they are certainly more realistic than the "cheeseballs." TWC should create or find one set that works for everything. Seeing two sets is confusing, IMO, especially on air!

There is, indeed, a Philadelphia, Tennessee, howevere not where the bullet is pointing to on the map, as it's more in the middle of the state, and it's certainly not 32 degrees there today. That bullet is clearly pointing to Memphis.

Earlier this morning, I noticed that during the Thunderstorm outlook, they had a different format for cities (was just plain white text as opposed to putting them with "boxes" like they did later on and now. I think it was a pre-HD format because it seemed to be fixed during the next airing of that segment.

During long-form at 3:30 PM ET, the corner ad bug was over top the inset satellite for Hurricane Danielle.

When a hurricane related show came back from the break at 3:45 ET, there was a brief (like a second or two) clip of the national forecast before it went back to the show.

Just a minute ago, Jim's pre recorded interview with Mayor Ray Nagin from New Orleans was cut off by a commercial.  :P Well Jim did say they didn't have enough time beforehand.

Plus Phillidelphia, TN isn't big and widely-known enough to put it on a regional map.

Excuse the double post....but this morning, an XP error message was shown on the HD Video Wall.

Video:
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1164301563181#

It only happened for a split second, so I slowed the video down.

What if TWC accidentally screwed up their audio and their voices sounded funny like that.  :P
