At 6 PM CT, they played the 03-05 PM Edition Weekend opener, without voiceover and old TWC logo. :o This is a full controlled show, too, so it's VERY unusual.

That's why I said it didn't have the old TWC logo. ;)

Whats Full controlled mean?
It's the control room that produces certain shows, such as PM Edition, Your Weather Today, Evening Edition, etc. It is capable of a lot more effects than the master control room is, and the graphic quality and audio quality is much better than master.

Master control, on the other hand, is less capable than full control. They produce the 1st hour of First Outlook, all hours of Weekend Outlook, all hours of Weather Center (except on Weekends), pre-recorded programming), etc. They don't have a lot of effects they can use, although in the past few years they've been using some full control effects, but not all.

Kyle would be able to explain better, though. ;)

I just wrote out a huge explanation of how it works, but simply put.. The control room feed goes through master before it goes to transmission.

Also, Stephen your pretty much right. Simply put, the control room has a bigger, more expensive and more capability enabled switcher where as the switcher in Master can only support non animated keys with 128 bit text, it can also only perform simple fade and cut animations for lower thirds and keys.

LOL! Here's an exchange I just heard between Bill Keneely and Kelly Cass. Basically, they were talking about how fall is only two days away, and that Mike Seidel was going to be here in MD reporting. This was being said while they were showing a picture of a pumpkin patch on the screen. Kelly commented that Mike was their Linus, to which Bill replied "Yeah, we'll put him out in the pumpkin patch to find The Great Pumpkin!", referring to the Peanuts characters. Then Bill says:" Of course, we know Mike works for peanuts!". I found that incredibly funny. :rofl2:
