Does anyone here have any First Outlook or Weekend:Now clips from 2001-2003? There seems to be very little clips around of these shows from this particular era. Thanks.
-
Yes, but the VHS tapes need to be converted. Would you like some of Mike Bono's final days to go along with that?

Everyone, I've posted a couple First Outlook clips on TWCCLASSICS. Not all of the other clips I have are small enough to be posted here or on TWCCLASSICS. If anyone would like to see them, please PM me here or at TWCCLASSICS with your e-mail address and I can send them to you.

Why do you post this stuff at TWC Classics? :whistling:
Would you please post them here? you can post attachments up to something like 40MB in size. I sure hope the clips aren't bigger than that!

You're right. I have quite a bit of stuff. I'll post what I can tonight. Most of this is stuff I submitted to the site video section, but the links have been severed. So, if you guys would like, you can also post this stuff (every video I post) in the video section!
Here you go (Part 1 of many):
1. First Outlook clip from June 28, 2000
2. First Oulook promo from March 26, 2000. This is from the night before First Outlook premiered. It is also the rest of the closing graphics you see from clip 1.
More to come!

Very cool! Thanks! :sunglasses:

Part 4.

2. Your Weather Today "Travel Desk with Dennis Smith" segment from 5/10/2002
3. Your Weather Today" Travel Desk with Dennis Smith" segment 2 from 5/10/2002
-
Part 5
1. Your Weather Today opener from January 8, 2000 to September 26, 2003.
More to come!
-
Part 6
1. First Outlook elements from 2000 to 2003. These "elements" are the segment openers I recorded off my VHS tapes. If you like these I can make and post other shows like YWT, EE, WN, WC, etc. from the 2000-2003 era.
I also have more clips on my computer, but I can't find them at the moment. Once I do, I'll post them here. If anyone would like to see any other clips of shows from this era (2000-2003), either post requests here or PM me. I have a lot of LF's I can record and post here. But, of course, this will take some time.
Enjoy! :sunglasses:

Ah, memories! Thanks Matt! Yes, I'm interested in footage of the other shows you have, especially WN, as well as the local forecasts.

Here, see if it works now. If not, I'll try to find another clip of it.

Thanks Matt! And thanks for permission to put them on the site! :sunglasses:

Thank you very much for your kind contributions, Matt :D I appreciate it.
This is, of course, my favorite era.

I couldn't find the Mike Bono one yet, and the Weekend Now ones are ready for tomorrow. In the mean time, here's some Dave and Lisa from 2001. Watch the beginning of the second clip for some "classic Dave."

SR, is there any you could upload these, and other clips you post, in Real or Windows Media format? My computer won't play the .avi format.
Thanks! :sunglasses:
Oh, and also, regarding the LF's I'd record: They would be recorded off my digital camera. That means that they won't be in the best or perfect quality. If that's okay, I can start recording them later today or tomorrow.

Download the DivX codec from http://www.divx.com/ (click on "Free Download"), and you should be able to play the .AVIs.

Actually, you don't even need to go though all the hassle of the DivX codes. ffdshow (http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow) should suffice.
-
I personally use the more updated ffdshow-tryouts (http://ffdshow-tryout.sourceforge.net/), which is currently active since regular ffdshow is apparently a dead project. ffdshow gives you the benefit of having a bunch of different codecs that may come in handy down the line; I just recommend disabling mp3 support; the ffdshow mp3 codec always causes weird noises when I time skip.

Okay, here are two Weekend:NOW clips featuring the fall opener and OCMs Mark Mancuso, Kelly Cass, and Swizzle Stick.

I seem to remember hearing the music on that WN sponsor screen at the end of the second clip the past couple of years...
-
I loved that theme music. Well, actually, I loved all the theme music from 2001-2003 :P, esp. the Weather Center themes.

That's funny... I was thinking the same thing.

Really? I haven't heard it since 2002.

Really? I haven't heard it since 2002.
I know for a fact that I have, though I can't quite think off the top of my head what it was used for.
-
I'm with Mike on this one. After all, it was used for Weather Center back then, as well. Perhaps you guys have just been watching videos from back then?

No, I definitely remember it being used sometime in the past 2 years or so.
