What Heat Advisory? Fall Foliage in Spring?
« on: May 24, 2012, 03:16:24 PM »
Ever since I've been running the emulator, a Heat Advisory graphic keeps popping up at the beginning. The problem is, my area hasn't been under a heat advisory all spring.

Plus, why is the Fall Foliage map showing up in the springtime?

Lastly, the 36 hour forecast is not updating. It keeps reading Today, Tonight and Saturday.

I will look into this for you. I have been out from the area for the last week so I have not had the ability to check on the forum. I will look into how your configured and see what is causing the issues you are reporting. (brotherb95)

I think I know what's causing the heat advisory to show up:

Whenever I have Hammond, LA as the Current Conditions city, the head advisory shows up. I took a closer look at Hammond's observation and compared with the city's observation (KHDC) on the New Orleans NWS site. After comparing the two a few more times, I discovered that the observation for Hammond on the emulator is stuck on 91 degrees and partly cloudy 24/7. I believe that's why the heat advisory is always showing. You may want to check the emulator to see KHDC is used for Hammond.
