Title: wrong channel # displayed
Post by: spinnerwv on July 12, 2010, 06:15:00 PM
The channel # displayed near the top of the hour displays channel 25.  Our new cable company moved TWC to channel 28.   Plus I believe that they are having issues with the XL or their channel modulator, the picture is zoomed in a bit.  This noticable when the large LDL is displayed.  Under the logo you see 'weather.co"  the "m" is cut off.  Thanks.   Star ID 003028,  Headend location Summersville, WV 26261

There's nothing wrong there on your end. What you are seeing when the large LDL is displayed is normal. On most TVs the "m" is cut off on the weather.com.

This is happening on most tvs? Not on any of mine

It's common overscan issues. The "m" in weather.com is cut off on the large LDL on my TV as well.

Yes, it has to do with how each cable headend relies on the signal. Not something fixable by TWC.

I'd like to also report that incorrect channel numbers are displayed on Charter's IntelliStars in Hammond, LA and Slidell, LA respectively (23622 and 23626). Both have been moved to Channel 38.
