Cable network: Comcast
Local weather ID: 22630
Location: Albuquerque, NM
Channels: TWC SD 35, Weatherscan SD 101
Issues:
1. While the IS shows convective (e.g., severe thunderstorm or flood) warnings, it has not shown non-convective watches or warnings. For example, the Albuquerque metro area has a Freeze Warning in effect for tonight, but this does not show up on either TWC SD 35 or Weatherscan SD 101. Convective and flood warnings use the county identifier and would still go through. The error likely is due to the fact that the NWS WFO Albuquerque realigned its zones several years ago, and the IS zone forecast was not changed appropriately to capture other watches and warnings (e.g., Severe Thunderstorm Watch, Wind Advisory, Winter Weather Advisory, Winter Storm Warning, etc.). The fix would be to reprogram the IS to point to the correct zone number. The Albuquerque Metro zone is NMZ519.

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...ALBUQUERQUE...LOS LUNAS...RIO RANCHO
328 AM MDT FRI OCT 4 2013
...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 9 AM MDT SATURDAY...
2. The local radar zoom-in hasn't worked for several months on Weatherscan SD 101, while it still works fine on TWC SD 35. Not sure why this happened, but unfortunately no rain forecast in the next several days, so unsure when you would be able to see this again.
Hope this helps.

None of the issues mentioned above have been fixed. Still not showing the non-convective watches/warnings. We are under a freeze warning, and nothing on either the SD channel 35 or SD Weatherscan 101. Also the close-up radar on Weatherscan never shows the zoomed-in radar.

Is there any hope that the 2 issues I mentioned in the first post above will be fixed? Any forum members have any suggestions on alternate routes to get this taken care of?
