Does the Weatherscan Channel Logo have the TWC Logo still?

guess that unit wasn't updated when they pushed out all of the updates a few months back.

one other thing I noticed as well, when the Detroit unit had to reboot because of the DST glitch, the boot screen still had the TWC logo... I'm a little surprised by that honestly
I can think of two different reasons off the top of my head that could possibly explain this. Least likely reason is it's TWC's way of showing that they made the software. Most likely reason is that they probably couldn't be bothered to remove it from somewhere that viewers of the channel very rarely ever see/are not supposed to see.

you're probably correct. i highly doubt they care about it at all -- it was just something interesting i noticed. besides, isn't the boot screen really only for the headend techs/star team to look at? (someone here may have to explain that to me; my knowledge of wxscan is quite limited)

Not sure when it happened but looks like the radar/satellite loop now has frozen precip when applicable.

I'm glad they made the change. I didn't think they'd add precip type to it.

For some reason the legend still shows only rain. Hopefully they fix that soon.

I would hazard a guess that the radar feed on the sat/rad on Weatherscan wasn't even on purpose. TWC probably discontinued or replaced the old radar feed with a newer version and it just so happens that's the feed Weatherscan uses. If it was an intentional update they would have updated the precip legend. Weatherscan doesn't really get updates anymore which is another reason I think it wasn't an official update.

As the IS and IS2 utilize the same set of radar and satellite overlays, I would not be surprised if a change is coming soon for the IS2 which will include a radar/satellite display during the LF's, specifically if there isn't any precipitation that would be shown during the local radar product. My 2 cents..

I didn't know they both ran off of the same feed. I always assumed there were two separate feeds - one for Weatherscan (for all the extra segments/products it has), and another for the domestic IS/IS2 units.

I agree with your theory on a sat/rad loop being added to the IS2 - that would be a great (re)addition to the LF.

A friend of mine reported this on his unit (don't know the ID # - it's out of the Xfinity Taylor headend): when the airport scroll runs on the black bar - for Detroit Metro Airport, "airport" is misspelled as "aiport."

Should this be reported to the STAR team? I mean, it's not a glaring error, to be honest.

apologies for the double post, but is anyone else having problems with NWS bulletins not showing up on Weatherscan? I'm under a Freeze Warning, and the Weather Bulletins slide hasn't shown up at all. This also happened when we had a Flood Watch a few days ago.

What's funny is that not even a few weeks ago, it was working fine - but yet other people were under tornado and severe t'storm warnings and nothing even happened.

I'm hoping this is just a bug, and not another update...

First time poster. I've also noticed the lack of weather bulletins, more so during the recent heat wave and not seeing the Heat Advisory that had been issued typically in the past. No generalized scroll warnings anymore as well it would appear. I would guess this wasn't just a bug.

Anyone else notice the change to the Severe Weather Mode function on Weatherscan? It seems to be running a full local forecast product now. Haven't seen that since the redesign in '05.

Apologies for the double post, but I just read that Xfinity is dropping Weatherscan from the rest of their systems towards the end of October. Can anybody verify this?
