Ticker
« on: June 25, 2011, 12:18:49 AM »
Is anyone else having problems with the ticker? Ours shows Tonight all day long, then switches to the current days forecast in the evening, followed by tomorrows forecast. At midnight it switches to Tonight but shows the following nights forecast. Then switches to the next days forecast in the morning. It's all jacked up on ours lately.

It's supposed to be like that, although it does need some changing. IMO it should be like how the ticker in the old weatherscan was from 2003-2005:

Today: 12am-12pm
Tonight: 12pm-4pm
Tomorrow: 4pm-12am

It is a known error that's been happening for several years now.

It's only been happening on ours the past week or so. Ever since Atlanta got hit by storms and a lot of our products were saying unavailable. It's incredibly confusing. I was like wait, it's supposed to storm tonight? No... that's Saturday nights forecast. ...at midnight Friday...?

I wish they'd fix it if it's a known error that the ticker is showing today's forecast and tomorrow's forecast from 4pm until midnight when it switches to "Tonight". Our local cities show tomorrow's forecast then it switches to the regional cities ticker and shows the current days forecast. The day that's almost over already. Very odd, annoying and confusing all around.

I think it should be like this:

Today: 12a-4p
Tonight: 4p-10p
Tomorrow: 10p-12a

Star Team said it switches at 4am and 4pm. From 4am-4pm it shows Tonight. From 4pm-4am it shows the next days forecast.
Here is an example from today of what ours is doing.
Midnight-4am: Tonight (Thursday night forecast)
4pm-midnight: Local cities ticker: Friday forecast. Regional cities ticker: Thursday forecast.
That will run until midnight tonight when it switches to Tonight (Friday nights forecast.)

I don't think this is what other people's is doing it seems. :/
