Title: Get Weatherscan on your Cable/Satellite Company!
Post by: Christian1023 on July 31, 2014, 04:08:17 PM
Today, The Weather Channel uploaded a video about Weatherscan. Simply call 1-800-710-1922. Here's the video they added: WeatherScan. Local. Always. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imYYWStFGEg#ws) So if you don't have WeatherScan then call so The Weather Channel can add WeatherScan for your Cable/Satellite Company.

I seriously doubt my cable headend would be interested in adding Weatherscan to their lineup in the future.

I wonder if they've been in talks with DTV/DISH about Weatherscan. Also if they'll add it if just one person asks for it?

Dish Network has Weatherscan but only in the major markets and other select areas.

I forgot about that. I wonder if/when they'll add the Milwaukee area?

I called the number just to see what it would do, and it was nothing but an automated message saying:

"Thank you for your interest in Weatherscan. Please visit our website at www.weather.com (http://www.weather.com). Goodbye."

I am surprised that TWC still cares and fully supports Weatherscan. Do any of you believe TWC will update Weatherscan's graphics soon?

I think when you call it just notifies TWC that the person who called wants WeatherScan on their company. When you call it just says: "Thank you for your interest in Weatherscan. Please visit our website at www.weather.com (http://www.weather.com). Goodbye."

I tried calling out of curiosity, and this is the message I got:

Quote
Thank you for your interest in Weatherscan. As of June 12th, we are no longer available in select Comcast markets. We've heard from you and your voice is important to us. Please hold while we redirect you to your local Comcast Xfinity representative to express your concern.

I waited for minutes with no answer so I hung up. Also, I'm in a Charter market as the nearest Comcast market is about 80 miles from my location.

Well there are obviously some problems with the hotline. Seems like they wouldn't base your location off of your area code, since many people's area codes don't match their location.

No idea. They probably have given up on adding places.
