Title: Any WeatherScan units still in operation?
Post by: crazybangles on March 13, 2019, 06:32:52 PM
Now that XFINITY has retired pretty much all of their units, I am just curious wondering if there are any still in operation from other providers.

Blue Ridge (central/east central PA) and Grande Communications (Texas) still have some units. There's also Frankfort Plant Board's Weatherscan (ehatt600 on youtube uploads videos regularly), and I believe Mediacom has a few scattered around the country.

I knew about the one in Frankfort but not about other ones. Thanks!

Can confirm that the Mount Pocono unit on Blue Ridge Communications is still active.

Weatherscan is gone here in Chicago as well on XFINITY. I notice that last night.

All Xfinity weatherscans were decommissioned in late 2017.
