We upgraded to the final version of SMF 2.0 this evening and there are some issues that need to be corrected. We will be working to correct them over the next day or so. Thanks for your patience. Please feel free to report any issues that you see

I fixed the order of the boards as a couple were out of place after the upgrade, so they're fine now. I do not see any problems right now, so you just need to add the following mods back into place: The Rules, Google Member Map, Users Online Today, and Enhanced PM Popup. I imagine you'll have to do updates to make sure they're compatible with our upgrade. If there are any others you want to add like the IM client profile fields that Mike had mentioned, go right ahead.

I am noticing an error where the quick reply box extends far to the right. Is anyone else experiencing this?

It did that to me in Chrome on the full reply page a couple of hours ago, and I thought it was me accidently dragging the text box the whole way past the border :P seems fixed now though

Yes Martin, I am experiencing this issue with Firefox.

It seems to be an error ongoing w/ Chrome. That's the browser I'm using now and it's still doing that from earlier this morning when I posted in the Hurricane 2011 thread..

Odd, its happening on my laptops Chrome but not on my desktops Chrome  (I will say now though that the desktop is XP and the laptop is Windows 7 if that helps)

I'm experiencing this issue using Chrome on Windows XP, so I don't think OS has any relevance to the issue. It could be that your cache hasn't been cleared on your desktop PC.
-
Tyler will be investigating this soon. Thanks everyone for confirming the issue.
-
It's also happening on my iPod.

Guess it affects every browser haha

Unfortunately I am not able to duplicate this problem on my end. Has everyone tried clearing their cache?

Try clearing your cache as well. Its happening on all my systems here. Clearing doesn't change anything
-
It's happening here. SeaMonkey 2.2 (Firefox 5.0/Gecko 5.0).
-
I can confirm that the quick reply goes off the screen on my end for Firefox 5 and IE 9, but I had to turn it on to see it. I've always had quick reply turned off as I prefer the usual reply page much better. If any of you wish to turn this feature off, go to your profile and choose Modify Profile -> Look and Layout. Then, scroll all the way down to the second to last option saying "Use quick reply on topic display:" and choose "don't show at all".

On my Firefox 5.0...
The Quick Reply works fine, but the regular reply type-box is still extended too far to the right.

Its the opposite of that on my end here (in the XP on Chrome)
Also, I cleared my cache and the regular reply box still doesnt extend the full way on my XP  (I also checked in SeaMonkey after clearing the cache on it (it isnt my default browser), and it didnt extend the box out on the full reply screen )
-
So maybe this is a browser/cache issue, because here is a run-down of what I am observing:
Firefox 5
- In new (default) TWCT theme, BOTH quick-reply box AND regular reply box extend too far to the right.
- In old curve theme, ONLY the regular reply box extends too far to the right.
IE9
- In new (default) TWCT theme, ONLY the quick-reply box extends too far to the right.
- In old curve theme, EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE.
Chrome
- In new (default) TWCT theme, ONLY the quick-reply box extends too far to the right.
- In old curve theme, EVERYTHING LOOKS FINE.
Gosh, this is SO confusing. :faint:

I'm not seeing any of the Firefox 5 related errors...

I can confirm this. I'm using version 3.6, though.

The error seems to have corrected itself sometime today in Chrome. I never got around to clearing my cache so I'm not sure how it got fixed.
EDIT: The quick reply box is still messed up though.

It was always this way. ;)

Even after clearing all of your caches? Wow this is a mess

After clearing my cache, the problem no longer exists. B)

I tried clearing my cache, but I'm still seeing this problem (only with the Quick Reply, the regular one is/was fine).

Me too. :(

Honestly, why not just turn the "quick reply" off if it's bothering you all and it cannot be easily fixed? Billy meant that the regular reply page was working when he made that post after I spoke with him about it, but he did see the "quick reply" wasn't working and immediately turned it off.

I have the wide box problem not with quick reply, but on the regular reply screen, such as the one I'm using now.
But what does your post mean? The problem probably won't be fixed anytime soon, so those with a problem should either live with it or turn the feature off?

Not all problems are occurring with "quick reply" Patrick. ;) For me, it's the normal reply box that's screwed up, and I'm too used to using that for my replies. I guess I'll just have to operate from a different browser.

No it will be addressed and hopefully by the end of this weekend. Tyler made this skin so I was hoping he could have solved the problem but if he can't replicate it I will have to find some other solution
-
I thought all of the issues with the reply page were fixed now. Mine has been working all this time on Firefox and IE with Tyler's theme, but this whole thing is a royal mess. Sorry, Andy and Eric. :hmm:

The issue has been identified as a known issue with SMF. The issue is indeed there and the fact that some of you are not experiencing it may actually depend on different browser variations and etc. I believe I have found a solution so everybody simmer down now :P Hope to get it fixed by tomorrow
-
Thanks, Martin!

When I access the IRC Chat from the forum, it tells me that I don't have the plugin installed. Now here's the issue: it doesn't tell me WHAT plugin to install, nor does it give me a link to install it.

It uses Java.

Cleared cache, Firefox 5,
and suddenly Dave Schwartz was back on TWC the quick-reply box still extends way too far.
-
Whatever you just did fixed it for me. Tried to post something, wouldn't work so I refreshed, and it was back to normal! No more HUGE Quick Reply box!

No it was not fixed.
I will post when the issue has been corrected. Members do not need to report if the issue is affecting them.

I just noticed that the weather tool that gave the current conditions based on locations entered in the profiles of all members has been missing since the upgrade.

Wow, you're right Patrick. I guess no one really cared for that tool if someone is just now making mention that it is gone.
Also, the typing box issues for me have been fixed, but that was after getting a new hard drive for my computer and re-installing Firefox. I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing this to those who still have the problem. :P
-
Been bugging me but haven't figured out how I added it to the theme before :P
-
The quick reply box is ACTUALLY fixed this time :P Clear cache, cookies, take out the garbage, etc
-
Did you change the font sizes on the forum index? They look larger to me.
-
Hmmm they do look a little larger. I changed one piece of code that had nothing to do with that part of the forum. No clue about that
-
Martin, a security patch is out for SMF. It's version 2.0.1, so do you want to upgrade to it soon?
-
I'll try patching the affected files rather than a full upgrade
