Title: New Site Feature
Post by: lfmusiclover on June 30, 2007, 10:37:50 PM
I just cameup with what I think is a great idea for a new site feature. I'd like to have a contact an artist page for TWC artists since 2000, justlike Matt has on his site for classic TWC artists. What do you all thihk? The first thing I need to do is gather contact information so that myself (and Stephen if he'd like to help) can getin touch with artists to find out if its alright to display theircontact information on the site. So, if you have contact information on any artist since 2000, please post it here, along with any other comments you have.

Excellent. So, if you have contact info, PM it to either myself or SSS. In themeantime I have to figureout some way to actually make the page...or find someone else who can.  :P

I just got a good idea for another new feature for the site. I know people like to get ahold of the fonts used on the STAR's, so maybe we could put the fonts used used on the STAR's on our site. Of course, this would require someone whose good at making things like that like Charles is. Anyone here any good at making fonts?

Well the 4000, Jr, and IS fonts are already available. the XL used Helvetica, which is only available
on Mac systems.

Actually the XL used "Akzidenz Grotesk" and "Helvetica Neue".

BTW, Helvetica isn't only available on Macs. ;)

Akzidenz Grotesk is Helvetica.

Helvetica is available on Windows, but not for free. Its VERY expensive. Helvetica comes with ALL Macs.

Okay, but I am on my Mac now and I don't see Akzidenz Grotesk in my font book.

Its Helvetica!!! It was originally Akzidenz Grotesk in the 1950s and early 60s, and was later named Helvetica.

I saw the movie Helvetica, I'd know :P

I realize that they may be available, but I want to offer them on the site like Chazz has with his 4000 fonts.
