I apologize for the delayed response, but along with everyone else I too am very saddened by this news.  I believe that preserving the forums and TWC Today site is an excellent way to remember and honor Martin and am excited to see the Administration and Moderation team coming together to make sure it stays alive.  I would also like to help in any way I can with the transition so that all of us may still have a common meeting place to talk about not only TWC, but the weather and major events.

Wait, what?
I just heard about this today and it's truly sad. I very much hope he rests in peace.

A part of moving forward, I have migrated the site and all content away from the domain twctoday.com as we have no control over the billing management portion of it. All of the content and forums will function moving forward located at www.twctodayforums.com .. Please update your bookmarks! Thank you for staying strong with us during this difficult time.

I am very grateful to see that the administration and moderation team are working together to preserve the forums in honor of Martin. I think Martin would be very proud.

What's also amazing is that we all came back to these forums after YEARS of inactivity to pay tribute. I mean seriously, I haven't seen the majority of you in forever, and that included Martin. I only briefly kept in touch with him on Facebook. It makes me happy to see everyone of you again to pay respects to our wonderful friend.

Of course, I'm pretty emotional every time I come here, as it reminds me of the good time we all had with Martin. He kept this place alive and you can tell he had such enthusiasm with meteorology. We were all cheering him on for pursuing a meteorological career. He had potential and guts. He will never ever be forgotten in our community. <3

I know this is way late and overdue, but I couldn't agree more. R.I.P Martin and my sincerest condolences to his family. :(

  I simply don't know what to say.  I must give my best wishes to Martin's family, even though I know I found out about his passing rather late.

I haven't been around for a while, so I just found about this.  VERY sad indeed.

Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything. I am interested in knowing this as well.

I've been out of the loop for quite some time myself, but I'm absolutely shocked and saddened by this news. He was a great guy, and I only have had positive interactions with him. Both a true weather fan and a smart man. If the time is ever appropriate, I would like to know what happened so I can help raise awareness and better understand the illness.

I totally agree with you. I know a 20-year-old who has a form of brain cancer which is under-researched and that's what she is trying to do - raise awareness. If she survives it, she plans to be a nurse to patients who have what she has.
