Recently, I have come up with 3 HD local forecast concepts. I have decided to move forward with the third one, and create an entire animated LF out of that design. What do you think (about any of the concepts)? There will be no LDL.

Definitely #2. It matches best with the on-air graphics. One thing you should consider is trying to make the temperatures a tad smaller so they are along the line of the trend graphic. It would look less confusing to me that way, IMO.

#2 is my favorite but it'd be better if it weren't so crowded. I disagree with the font choices in #3.

Thanks, everyone! I see you all like #2, however I'm going to continue working on #3 because chance are the actual HD LF will look nothing like many of us expect it to (like my #2, or the images on twcmediakit.com).

Had some free time today... came up with the CC screen. The 4 cities on the right will flip to reveal 4 different cities halfway through the CC screen.

The title bar reminds me of the one NBC O&O local news stations use today. I like it overall.

I had some free time tonight and came up with this, and I think I'm gonna run with it. Although I think there's too much info on this screen, so I'll probably have it show 4 local obs at a time, then swap out for 4 more. Also working on some spacing issues - I don't like how close the boxes are to the top and bottom of the screen.

I would go with the "show 4 local obs at a time, then swap out for 4 more" and show weather icons, imo... I would recommend going with the 90% overscan on all 4 sides so that info is rarely cut off... I know that overscan doesn't really exist on High Definition, but my TV is one of the rare ones that has it for HD.

Like I said I just threw this together. Already fixed the spacing issues, and the reason there are no icons is I don't have them on this laptop.

There honestly is no "easy" way to make it. It's a bunch of different layers I put together and changed the blending mode on.

I used Interstate, and believe it or not, just Arial on these concepts. I did, however, change the spacing and proportions to my meet my liking.
