For my new set of drawings ive decieded to create a weatherstar jr. For my hometown

Are you serious? That is probably the most basic thing you can do in Paint.

Yeah, I'm pretty terrible at art, but even to me that seems like a relatively simple thing to do in Paint.

how did you "paint" the realistic maps

Well a guy on you tube showed me how. Step 1 go to the national weather service website. Step 2 when you get your radar make sure you only have 2 certain checks in a box and the box is topo and county. Those are the only boxes you need to have a check in. Step 3 go to paint and choose a back ground color for your map. Step 4 at the top of the tool bar on paint you will see a square made by dotted lines click it and make sure you have the green square where its just green without the white back ground. Step 5 after you choose your color background for your map copy and paste the map on paint.

The map i got was from the national weather service but I color id gray with paint so it looked more like a actual 4000 radar theres still flaws/kinks in my radar pics.

Those used to be WO's colors until around September or so, when TWC had a messup with the color schemes (due the the Storm Alert coverage).

Tonight one of our select cities on our city cast segment is firth Nebraska. The temperature is 95 right now under clear conditions and that dry weather can be expected to continue until Thursday then after that you will see a chances of rain in the 20-30 percent range till Sunday those will be the afternoon pop up variety those will not be expected to be severe.

Try to have emergency money saved up in the bank for hotel money, gasoline, food and other necessities while your away from home. 3rd. if you decide to stay and ride out the storm do not expect authorities to come rescue you while the hurricane is making landfall. 4th tip have plenty of food and water. make sure you can have food that wont spoil for at least a week when there is no electricity 5th and final tip keep watching the weather channel for continuous up to date information on tropical systems.
