5:35am PDT advisory on TD-Eight

Made this pretty quick so there might be some typo but overall how is it?

I like it!!  Definitely TV worthy!

I've never been a fan of self-promotional taglines ("Your hurricane authority") on maps, but... that's just my problem, not yours.  :)

Islands are hard, because highlighting them, by design, has to be different than with land.  However, is there anything you can do so that the Bahamas have either one style or the other?  A faint highlight with two yellow islands in the middle doesn't look so good.

I agree...That's why I am going to update this in the following graphics...Still looking a bit weird or would this do?

BTW, thanks for the constructive criticism :) Feel free to give them cause this is what going to help me be better...

I think you might could try to use that 3D shape like for the track cones, but make it yellow.... That would make it look a bit more eaiser to see?

It looks great, and the problem of "two methods in one space" has been solved.  Granted, it's not at all an easy thing to deal with when you have so many small islands like that, and then one or two that are large enough to merit being treated as land.

You know what?  The TV professionals couldn't have done any better than you did in your revised version.  I'm glad you're willing to make modifications and revisions, because that's only going to let the already outstanding quality of your maps get even better.

I agree! Willing to work around the needs of viewers will help greatly with making graphics... Viewers will look elsewhere if you're content isn't simplistic to read and understand... You've got some great potential with your designing!  Keep it up, I love these!

The Current Projected Path/Windspeed, and StormTrack Information...Is it too mashed in together??

Thank You Donovan for the Tropics Icon! YOU ROCK!! :worship: :worship:

Yeah, this is too much crowded onto one map.  Separating the storm data from the projected track seems like a better idea.

yeah, your right....Just trying to see how it goes....Doesn't look too well does it :P It feels like there's too much info on the graphic....

Wow, these graphics are beyond impressive!!! What program are you using to make these?

And to comment on your previous graphic (love your use of the hurricane/TS/TD icons in the projected paths by the way), I actually like the current storm information on the projected path because it gives an overview of where the storm is at and where it is headed all in one graphic. But it did look just a little too crowded...maybe make the storm information box smaller?

I'm using powerpoints....And i'm trying to make the smaller storm information box right now...Maybe just have Wind Speed and Pressure....

I've did a slight addition to the tropical map...I've added the category onto the tropical icons. What do u guys think? This is btw the latest update of what i think in addition to my last night forecast...I'm staying the same windspeed except i've upped the windspeed forecast from yesterday based on the current model and what i think could happen....Possibly a cat 3 hitting the coast...

While most of the country are plagued with 100+º this year, here in seattle, we are struggling with even having 70+º days this year...Here's the last 5 years...

SINCE 29th of June 2012, seattle reached 71º, the numbers of 70+º day are up to 8 days now...

UPDATED - graphics of the 80+º temps in the last 4 years...

Usually i will complain about the temperatures being this warm to hot in this next seven days forecast...but seeing how everyone east of the rockies saw 100+º. I won't :)

Happy 4th everyone!

Edited the forecast to bump up the temperatures as a HEATWAVE comes to seattle!

Update at 12:18 A.M Saturday - I forgot to change the date on the forecast graphics...The forecast DOES NOT start on Friday but actually starts SATURDAY :P

That means that the Forecast for 81º is Saturday and 86º is Sunday :)
