Hey there!

There is no true guide on how to make TWC art. And honestly, your second post won't get you anywhere in asking for help; I will say it was slightly rude. However, I will guide you to the programs I use to make my art.

I use Inkscape (http://"http://www.inkscape.org") to get the base of most of my graphics. Then, I use Paint.NET (http://"http://www.getpaint.net") to make any minor cleanups. Then, I use Adobe Photoshop CS4 (http://"http://www.adobe.com/photoshop") to fine-tune the graphics, like make minor changes to the colors.

Sorry, but there are no "easy" steps to creating TWC art; it can take some advanced thought processes and some elbow grease. It can and will be hard work making TWC art, which is why we want to showcase it here. Other than what I've said, I can't help you.

Snowman, that is very understandable, it has a very steep learning curve, it took me a very long time to get some of the tools down. Just keep trying at it and you'll; eventually get it. :)

GIMP =  unless you have patience.
I love Paint.NET...it's SO much simpler than GIMP and there are plugins and other features to make it have the same effects as GIMP, just in a much more user-friendly interface. And GIMP takes forever to start for me since I have a TON of fonts.

I honestly can't stand Paint.NET. Seriously, what kind of graphics editing program doesn't allow you to edit text boxes? The GIMP is so much better, IMO, if you take the time to learn the program.

If you do it right the first time, you'll have no need to edit text boxes. <_< And that's being worked on for version 4 if I read some of the forum posts correctly.

That's good that they're working on it. I remember back around 2005 or 2006 and trying out Paint.NET and that was my biggest gripe back then, I recently tried the latest version and it still wasn't there. I'll have to reevaluate it when they add that feature.

I really hope they add that. Bugged the heck out of me when I tried it!

In my personal preference, I use Adobe Photoshop.  Specifically, version 7.0, however, Photoshop is now in the CS grade, or Creative Suite, and is available through Adobe's website.

I put this lower third together in Photoshop, just a quick thing I did to try to illustrate what Photoshop can do...Hope you like...

1. Light snow should be in the red area.
2. He may have meant 15° or 5°/05°, not 105°.
